Besides entertaining the fans during boring moments of professional football and basketball games, cheerleaders from various teams are called upon to travel overseas to entertain the troops. The cheerleaders are part of USO-arranged tours involving singers, actors, and comedians in a tradition dating back to WWII and Bob Hope.
