The Sunken Empire H. Thompson Rich
When journalist Larry Hunter interviews Professor Martin Stevens, the scientist reveals that he plans to search for the sunken land of Antillia beneath the Sargasso Sea (which was the Bermuda Triangle of its day). Then Larry meets the professor's daughter Diane and finds that she's going on the journey. He decides to stowaway on the professor's submarine and join the adventure. But trip becomes more adventuresome than he had bargained for. This classic science fiction short story by H. Thompson Rich was first published in Astounding Stories of Super-Science in January 1931. H. Thompson Rich (1893-1974) was an author and screenwriter.
